Blockhouse is the latest venture from Angel and Oliver Markart – the husband and wife team known for creating memorable dining and drinking experiences in Brisbane.

As Italy’s youngest sommelier at the age of fourteen and former owner of New Farm’s iconic Continental Café, Oliver brings a lifetime of hospitality experience and wine knowledge to Blockhouse.

A familiar face to many, Angel also worked at the Continental Café and other Brisbane favourites - Gerties and Il Centro. More recently, she could be found at her much loved Workshop café in Redcliffe plying customers with the boardwalk’s finest coffee.

Located in a thriving semi industrial nook of Nundah and surrounded by historical Queenslanders, and tree lined streets with plenty of parking, Blockhouse has been classically renovated to suit the area.

Stylish yet casual, offering excellent service, a beautifully curated wine list, superb coffee and exciting food, Blockhouse is a place of great tastes and enjoyment -created by hosts who genuinely love what they do.
